ラシェネガは長野県松本市の中心地に位置するファッションブティックで1998年に建築家の安井秀夫氏によって設計され建てられた。クライアントはロフト部分にカフェの新設と小物類のアクセサリーを展示する什器を新たに希望していた。‘pata pata’ (w: 6,000mm, h: 1,400mm)  は84枚の扉でできた什器で、それぞれの扉がシンプルな機構で開け閉めができ脱着も可能である。 ‘pata pata’の名はオノマトペから名づけられている。ショップスタッフは84枚の扉を自由にアレンジし、展示方法にバリエーションをもたせることができる。

la cienega and cafe is located in the center of matsumoto, a city in nagano prefecture, japan. the existing building was designed in 1998 by the architect hideo yasui as a fashion boutique. more recently the client requested designs for a new cafe situated in the loft and furniture for displaying lots of small objects and accessories.

‘pata pata’ (w: 6,000mm, h: 1,400mm)  wall-display furniture comprises 84 doors, each of which is an easily detachable element of a simple structure or can be folded out to obtain a display unit. ‘pata pata’ is onomatopoeia for the opening-and-closing sounds. shop staff are easily able to create and change display arrangements by exploiting these features of ‘pata pata’.
